Christopher Selwa

Chris is a Director of MediGroup Australia and responsible for its commercial operations. Chris has a successful track record in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries with experience gained in the USA, UK, and Mainland Europe. His P&L, sales and marketing experience includes start-up phase, mid size growth and large corporate.

He established a peripheral vascular intervention business for Guidant in the UK, and went on to run their national cardiac intervention marketing in the UK. He has successfully led the launch of 11 medical devices at the national level.

Later, based in Belgium, he was an Associate Director for International Sales and Marketing Organization, at AstraZeneca - a role that that spanned all non-US sales and marketing and spanned multiple therapeutic areas.

Earlier, based in California, USA he advised medical device industry on their R&D processes, organization and strategy. Clients included blue chip device companies.

Chris holds a Masters of Engineering from Cambridge University in the UK and an MBA, (with distinction) from INSEAD, France.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, and playing sports, particularly: skiing, mountaineering, running and soccer.

Dr Kim Hansen

Dr Hansen is a founder of MediGroup Australia. Her vision for MediGroup Australia is to identify unique products with marked clinical advantage over alternatives and bring them to users: either products available in some markets but not others, or a great idea that needed to go into clinical practice.

Dr Hansen graduated from University of Queensland Medical School with First Class Honours, and a University Medal winner. After gaining broad experience overseas and in Australia in multiple disciplines, she specialises now in Emergency Medicine. Dr Hansen's wide-ranging international experience has added an extensive global network and a holistic perspective to the work.

She has received numerous academic awards, and continues to have a keen involvement in research in several hospitals and universities. Areas of interest include introducing new technologies at the "coal-face" and education of medical staff in these. Her current practice includes both public and private work in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr Hansen is a competitive sportswoman. She has represented Victoria, Queensland and Australia in handball. She also competes in triathlons and marathons.
